We looked at some weird and wacky inventions that weren't really practical but were definitely creative, such as mini umbrellas for your shoes, disposable cameras taped around the head for 360 degree photos and a survival kit made up of a plant in a glass box for oxygen to breathe.

Black Mirror episodes are considered speculative design because it's thinking about events and changes that could possibly happen in the future and exploring how the world might response to them.

Exercise - BLANK SLATES

Pretend we live in a world where safe spaces do not exist. Collage a headline for a newspaper to introduce it to the world. Write a short article to accompany it.

Now you have introduced Safe Spaces to the world, it is time to state your case! In groups, choose a theme and interrogate it, then decide whether you are going to fight for or against it. Create some propaganda to rally the class into taking your side.
