Project brief and plan of action

In summary, the four phases this semester are as follows;

phases.png

Phase 1 – Research four subjects vigorously through the methods of research skills, case studies, brainstorms, visual research, reading and discussions. This should all be uploaded to KEYNOTE including ALL materials.

Phase 2 – After presenting the four mastered subjects to the class, decide upon one to take further into the research phase. Explore this one subject even further with visual explanations and thoughts about the user, what will they gain from delving into this subject? Develop a research proposal document and present to the class.

A this point we will be coming together into groups before starting the create phase. Team up with people with shared interests, common themes/links.

Phase 3 – Play, prototype, test, create and make. Within the team, create 3 game ideas with prototypes that will be presented to the class for feedback before deciding on the final game idea to take into semester two.

Phase 4 – Create a rich “GPP” for the chosen game idea.

Tip: We are here to create games that do GOOD. Find a subject that means something to you or something you are passionate about that could push the development of a game that could foster change.
