LECTURE 1

Branding yourself - Adam Procter

Business Cards – the gift of your contact details. Make it unique and personal but nothing too cheesy or “fun”. Still keep it professional. It doesn’t have to be a little card – it can be more interesting and practical e.g. a bookmark.

Artefacts -

CV - Keep it concise, short and relevant. It should not be any more than two pages long. Design needs to be neutral and don’t try to be quirky.

Cover Letter – Specifies future goals and ambitions. It explains what you are looking for and what you are expecting to gain from your employer. Highlight your strengths. Find out the name of the person you are sending it to, this shows initiative. Formal, consistent and brief.

Your Work – photograph the process as well as the final product. Include edited highlights of your research and development processes.
