Luna

Luna is a game that is about learning by the light of unexpected mistakes, developed by Funomena (same creators of Journey, Flower and Bloom Box). It is available in both 2D and 3D on platforms including PlayStation, Oculus and and Steam.

Description:

A Bird's peaceful summer slumber is disturbed by the majestic call of a mysterious Owl. Enticed to swallow the last piece of the waning Moon, Bird is blown far from its Golden Gate home. Unscramble celestial puzzles and create miniature musical worlds. Re-awaken shadowy forests and bring life back to sparkling lakes. Discover hidden creatures, help Bird reunite the fragmented Moon... and find its way home.

It is a peaceful, wholesome game that involves exploring beautiful natural environments and carrying out simple actions:

The game is incredibly stimulating and immersive through its playful interactions, peaceful background music and fun, soothing sound effects that are made upon players actions. It is a great example of successful immersion.

At certain points in the story you restore life to scenes by populating them with trees and plants, creating your own beauty and adding your own touch to the imagery. However after the game has moved on, these little creations are lost forever. It is a little sad to think that but like that there is absolutely no pressure to do anything perfect or take time to develop because theres no way to go back to it. It allows you to just make the most of the moment you are in and move on, with no consequences. This personally makes the experience very relaxing because when there is a strict objective that can be tested, I will get frustrated attempting to perfect it, going back again and again if I can’t get it right in the first few tries.
