How will we distribute our Project?

PLAN

INTENTIONS

Our main intentions for our project are to provide schools and workplaces with an intervention to support students in managing emotional and physical sensations of stress and overwhelm, caused by demanding work environments and an overload of responsibility. We have considered the distribution of our project by thinking about who to contact in terms of making this idea become reality. From this we identified the following:

Schools and Universities

To market our game idea to our intended target audience, we intend to carry out a series of presentations at local schools and universities, demonstrating the benefits of our product by allowing them to see its potential first-hand. As well as sharing our idea and marketing our product, it will also allow us to analyse the function and success of our development.

Contact previous schools, university alumni and partnerships

An idea could be to visit our previous secondary schools and discuss our idea with both students and staff. This would allow us to gather insight into who is interested in our intervention and take next steps to bring it to life. In addition to this, we can undertake play and user testing to gather feedback and suggestions from our intended target audience, and discuss with Southampton University alumni and partners to assure that we have support behind our idea.

An Industry expert that has grabbed our interest is Toby Milner-Gulland from ‘Moving Brands’. He encouraged us to look into adapting technology to be more playful and tactile using the approach of a Games Designer, which influenced us to do the same. It would be great to pass the idea on to Moving Brands and receive advice, suggestions or feedback to improve it and share essential ways to distribute our project.
